Reflections on My Goals & Plans for the Year So Far

help me create this image, The image features a Disney-Pixar style illustration of a young woman with long red hair and bright blue eyes, sitting at a wooden table in a cozy, softly lit room. She has a thoughtful and content expression as she writes in a journal, reflecting on her goals. The space around her feels warm and inviting, with tidy surroundings, lush green plants, and a large window letting in beautiful natural light, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. In front of her, there’s a plate of golden, delicate french crêpes, drizzled with lemon and sugar, making the setting even more inviting. The art style is highly detailed, vibrant, and animated, with expressive facial features and a magical, heartwarming feel, reminiscent of classic Pixar films. Hey everyone! 👋

Now that we’re a couple of months into the year, I thought it would be a great time to check in on my goals and plans. It’s so easy to start the year full of motivation and then let things slip, but I’ve been making a conscious effort to stay on track.

Pancake Day Celebrations 🥞

One of my highlights recently was Pancake Day! I decided to host a little gathering and invited some friends over to join me. To make things easier, I prepared everything beforehand so I could just relax and enjoy the evening once they arrived.

It made such a difference—no last-minute stress, just good food and great company. We had a lovely time catching up over stacks of pancakes, and it reminded me how important it is to create space for these little moments of joy. ✨

My Lent Challenge: Creating Better Habits

A few years ago, I gave up not making my bed for Lent. For 40 mornings, I made a very conscious effort to make my bed as soon as I got up. At first, it felt like a chore, but by the end of Lent, it had become second nature. Now, I can’t start my day until my bed is made!

That experience showed me that I can develop new habits if I stick with them long enough, which is why I wanted to challenge myself again this year.

Breaking the Cycle of Clutter

This time, I’m focusing on something different—keeping my space tidy. One of the reasons I chose this challenge is because my ADHD sometimes makes me “blind” to mess. I can walk past something a dozen times and not even register that it’s out of place until suddenly it feels like clutter is everywhere!

It’s something I’ve struggled with for a long time, so I wanted to actively work on improving it. My new mantra is: “Don’t put it down, put it away.”

It’s such a simple mindset shift, but honestly, it’s already making a huge difference. My home feels tidier, I feel more in control of my space, and it’s helping me feel more mentally clear too. Who knew such a small habit could have such an impact? 🌿

Looking Ahead 👀

As we move through the year, I want to continue making intentional choices—whether that’s sticking to my personal goals, making time for loved ones, or simply maintaining small but meaningful habits that bring me joy.

How are your goals going so far this year? Have you given up anything for Lent? Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear from you! 💬

Love,
